Jesus is greater than Adam? Yep. His death and resurrection overcome all the effects of Adam's sin. Adam's sin brought death to all mankind; Jesus' work causes all to have immortal life. Romans 5:18 - "Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men" (ESV). 1 Corinthians 15:22 - "For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified" (Concordant Literal New Testament). Believe it!

1 PART Calvinism + 1 PART Arminianism = TRUTH
One key truthful part of Calvinism, when combined with one key truthful part of Arminianism equals a tremendous truth from the Scriptures that neither of those teams actually believe, a tremendous truth that is great news for ALL PEOPLE, the elect and the non-elect.

I am a REFORMAVERSALIST. I coined the term. It uses the acrostic T.U.L.I.P.S. please visit my blog: https://reformaversalism.wordpress.com/
ReplyDelete(T.U.L.I.P.S.):
I. T: Total Depravity
We confess that, due to the fall of Adam, all humanity is utterly and entirely depraved in all faculties—mind, will, and affection. This depravity renders mankind spiritually dead, unable to incline toward God, and incapable of choosing salvation apart from the quickening work of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, salvation must originate entirely outside of the human will. (Romans 3:10-12; Ephesians 2:1-3; Jeremiah 17:9)
II. U: Unconditional Election
We confess that God, before the foundation of the world, chose a specific people for salvation, not based upon any foreseen faith, works, or merit in them, but solely upon His own sovereign good pleasure and immutable decree. This choice is unconditional and serves to glorify His mercy and power. (Ephesians 1:4-5; Romans 9:11, 16)
III. L: Limited Election (The First Fruits)
We confess that this elect group is a limited number who are chosen to be the First Fruits of the final harvest. The First Fruits are the initial beneficiaries of Christ's saving grace and the inheritors of eternal glory, and they are consecrated for the specific, active role of bringing the full body of humanity—including those considered reprobate in the present age—to final redemption at the eschaton. (James 1:18; Romans 11:16; Revelation 14:4)
IV. I: Irresistible Grace
We confess that the Holy Spirit, at the appointed time, irresistibly and effectually calls the elect, drawing them out of death into life. When God’s grace is applied, it cannot be finally or fully thwarted by the will of man, ensuring that all whom the Father has chosen will certainly come to Christ. (John 6:37, 44; Acts 16:14)
V. P: Perseverance of the Elect
We confess that those whom God has effectually called and regenerated will be preserved in the faith until the end. They cannot fully or finally fall from a state of grace, but will persevere by the power of God, receiving the ultimate reward of their completed salvation. (John 10:28-29; Philippians 1:6; 1 Peter 1:5)
VI. S: Salvation Universal (The Final Reconciliation)
We confess that the atonement wrought by Jesus Christ is unlimited in its scope and universal in its ultimate application. While the elect receive their redemption in the present age, the reprobate, through the redemptive work mediated by the glorified First Fruits, shall be brought into final, complete reconciliation with God at the eschaton, demonstrating the ultimate and comprehensive success of Christ’s mission as Savior of all. (1 Timothy 4:10; 1 Corinthians 15:22; Romans 5:18)
